Catch-Up

So, dumb me keeps forgetting I have this art blog, which I technically should be posting all my arts on, but I is silly and forgetful XP Anyways, here's a snippet of what I've done over the summer. I've been doing alot of practice drawing with my Wacom in PS and getting used to that, and experimenting with colored pencils some more. The convention badge below I made for AnthroCon and shows me really pushing my knowledge of Color and Design in order to create a more colorful and attractive coloring style in colored pencils. And the one below is a commission.

And, to go with the lineart, the colored version of Witchy Woman, though this was completed a while back.

Lately, I've been working on a character design. I'm really into belly dancing, and its my goal to learn one of these days. One day I came up with a persona that would be fun to play while belly dancing. Because I'm into tribal belly dancing, I thought it would be fun to bring in some Native American flavor and the costume would involve turqoise and animal bones. That's the easy part - my problem is I chose a vulture/buzzard (Thunder Bird) as the animal. Trying to figure out a way to draw the face and wings without it looking wonky or awkward is killing me. I think drawing the costume version would be less taxing, but I'm probably wrong.

Just to give an idea of what I'm going for, I was using this Cinereous vulture as my base because he has more feathers. I was thinking Egyptian vulture too, they have an interesting look to them as well. Their face is practically bear and their feathers start off long at the top of their head. They also have a longer and pointier beak.

Halloween pics

So, I actually did something this Halloween, and thus, had an excuse to dress up. I went to a little shindig and it was pretty cool. I made macaroni casserole since it was a pot luck, and people seemed to like it. I did prosthetics for the first time this year, and I did have some issues with it, but now I know better. Only issue I had, was I didn't get to try out the Scarecrow fangs to see if they really were all that, because the mixing liquid... fucking crystallized. Pissed me the hell off. But, I made due with being extra bloody. Next year, I hope to be super bloody, because being covered in blood... even nasty, medecine tasting blood, was pretty fun! And now for pictures!

I devour souls AND hearts.

A little Luis Royo perhaps?

This one reminds me, alot, of a Luis Royo painting. I think its because the expression and the angle of my face is pretty close. Only thing missing are those metal things coming out of my head. ^_^

Devil in Red

And the devil wore a red coat...

Bad to the Bone

I guess I didn't manage to get any really great pics while in costume. If I had someone else who could take the pics for me, it would have been better and I could have played around with acting out the part a bit. But I just got back from the party and I really wanted to wash the blood off my chest XD

Pick of the litter.

Clothed Figure drawings. This isn't even the order I uploaded the images, but apparently this is how it puts it in here :/ But yeah, 20 minute drawings, above and below.
And the rest of these are 10 minute poses.

Thanks for looking! ~Sabby

Recent Sketches

About an hour sketch, flushing out an idea of a Halloween themed pic, which I haven't done in a long while. Hopefully will get this colored in time. :3
Clothed figure HW. Had to draw four poses, very basic. Then we picked one image, added detail, and then added clothing. Above is the clothed version. Below is the rough and then the nude detailed.

I should have some of my in class work up soon. Just gotta get some good pics. Thanks for checkin my stuff out!
