So, dumb me keeps forgetting I have this art blog, which I technically should be posting all my arts on, but I is silly and forgetful XP Anyways, here's a snippet of what I've done over the summer. I've been doing alot of practice drawing with my Wacom in PS and getting used to that, and experimenting with colored pencils some more. The convention badge below I made for AnthroCon and shows me really pushing my knowledge of Color and Design in order to create a more colorful and attractive coloring style in colored pencils. And the one below is a commission.
And, to go with the lineart, the colored version of Witchy Woman, though this was completed a while back.
Lately, I've been working on a character design. I'm really into belly dancing, and its my goal to learn one of these days. One day I came up with a persona that would be fun to play while belly dancing. Because I'm into tribal belly dancing, I thought it would be fun to bring in some Native American flavor and the costume would involve turqoise and animal bones. That's the easy part - my problem is I chose a vulture/buzzard (Thunder Bird) as the animal. Trying to figure out a way to draw the face and wings without it looking wonky or awkward is killing me. I think drawing the costume version would be less taxing, but I'm probably wrong.

Just to give an idea of what I'm going for, I was using this Cinereous vulture as my base because he has more feathers. I was thinking Egyptian vulture too, they have an interesting look to them as well. Their face is practically bear and their feathers start off long at the top of their head. They also have a longer and pointier beak.
